In a blog post on Wednesday morning the world No 1 search engine Google announced that it is going to build and test high-speed fiber broadband connection. It is really a great news to hear that Google is planning make Internet access faster for everyone. With the help of fiber optic broadband network customers can get connected to the Internet, Do you think what is interesting in this? You can enjoy the speed at 100 times faster than the existing broadband connections. This connection will allow the customer to download a HD movie in few minutes and is 1000 times faster than AT&T’s basic DSL offering. They are going to test this one-gigabit-per-second fiber connection with 500,000 users that too in a competitive price. Google has urged FCC to encourage these types of experiments. There is a RFI from Google to communities interested in taking part in this experiment. Another link where residents of U.S and local groups can nominate their communities. In a video Kelly says that Google is working to make the web faster for everyone with the fiber-to-the-home connections and findings from this experiment will be shared to the world. Lets wait for the result of this experiment.
